But now the option of video and voice calling has been given by Google in the Gmail app itself. This feature is available for Android as well as iOS users. This feature was announced in September this year. But now from December 6, it has been rolled out for Google services like Google Workspace, G Suite and Personal Google Account.

what has changed already

Earlier also calling could be done from the Gmail app. But now Google Meet video conferencing call has been added to it. Users can send Google Meet invites directly from Gmail. This will make it easier to have one-on-one conversations. You will see this option of Google Meet at the top in front of Gmail. With which users will be able to do audio and video calling directly. For this, users will not have to visit the Google Meet app separately.

Help make Gmail a communication center

According to Google, this is a small change. But this will help Gmail make all its communication services the central hub. Currently, you will be redirected to the Gmail app for video calling, even if you made the call from the Google Chat app.

According to Google, video and voice calling can now be done through email under the September plan. It will be one of the four essential services of the Gmail app, along with Chat, Spaces (Google's Slack-style messaging service), and Meet (its video conferencing service). Let us tell you that during the lockdown period, Google Meet service was started for video calling, which has now been integrated with Gmail.
